INSPIRING PLAY FOR KIDSOutdoor inclusive playground for all children to enjoy

The Department of Recreation and Parks along with Councilmember Paul Krekorian, Second District will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Studio City Recreation Center’s newly renovated Universally Accessible Playground. Recreation and Parks, in partnership with Shane’s Inspiration, promotes play for children of all abilities by building inclusive playgrounds that create an environment free of physical bias. Nestled in an 8.46 acre park, the newly installed universally accessible play structure includes a toddler area for children ages 2 to 5, complete with slides, climbing features, rubberized surfacing and a separate swing area. Who Spoke: Councilmember Paul Krekorian, Second District Michael A. Shull, General Manager, Recreation and Parks Scott Williams & Catherine Curry-Williams, Founders, Shane’s Inspiration Bruce Thomas, President, Studio City Park Advisory Board.
