On April 14, Richard DiSisto of Vantage Restaurant Group, formerly Ventura Restaurant Group, will flip Spitting Chicken Cantina in Sherman Oaks into an oyster bar named Tipple & Brine. DiSisto has a more than solid team lined up to run his ship, with most of the crew plucked from either chef Casey Lane’s camp or from Proprietors LLC. And remember, Proprietors worked with Lane on that beverage program at now defunct The Parish downtown.Chef Mike Williams and sous Logan Jones both join Tipple & Brine after time spent at The Parish and The Tasting Kitchen. FOH will be handled by Proprietors LLC alum Adam Weisblatt who worked on Honeycut and Bar & Kitchen. Meanwhile, Honeycut’s Daniel Zacharczuk, who has also tended bar at great cocktail haunts like The Varnish and La Descarga, will head up Tipple & Brine’s drink program.
