Caring About Our Community

As a fourth-generation Sherman Oaks native, Alan takes pride in giving back to his community, dedicating countless hours to improving the quality of life in the neighborhoods he serves. His involvement in neighborhood groups and community events has contributed to enhanced awareness, safety, and a greater quality of life.

Over the years Alan has donated his time or worked closely with:

  • Van Nuys Police Division – Designated as a Police Community Representative (PCR), Alan has held countless neighborhood watch meetings to help fight crime and address safety issues within his community.
  • Sherman Oaks Neighborhood Council – Alan served on the Public Safety Committee for Sherman Oaks working with city council and DOT on traffic and safety.
  • Village Gardeners – As an honorary board member, Alan helped raise money and awareness for the North Valleyheart Riverwalk between Fulton and Coldwater Canyon.
  • Council Districts 2 & 4 – Working directly with the city council district 2 & 4, Alan has helped organize community events to help keep the residents informed.

SCGA JUNIOR – Having been an avid golfer for more than 30 years, Alan enjoys supporting The Southern California Golf Association’s SCGA Junior program, a program that provides discounted range balls and greens fees at courses across LA County as well as Scholarship programs to juniors who qualify.


MAPS CHARITIES – As a member of The Strategic Planning Committee for MAPS Charities in Los Angeles, Alan has co-organized fundraisers and helped consult for this charity which provided funding and services to seniors in need.
