By Daily News Using money from a special fund, the Los Angeles City Council on Wednesday approved $163,400 for repairs to broken or missing segments of sidewalk on Ventura Boulevard in Studio City.
“This is an important first step to upgrade our community and act proactively to fix our neighborhoods,” Councilman Paul Krekorian said.
“The real work begins now to fix broken sidewalks and see to it that pedestrians in one of the busiest walking sections of Los Angeles can move about safely and easily.”
Additionally, Krekorian also asked for a report back on the state of sidewalks along other parts of Ventura Boulevard where there is also heavy pedestrian use.
The money comes from a fund created with fees paid by developers and does not affect other city programs
